LMT-GAV (gender affirming voicework)
The Liberatory Music Therapy model of Gender Affirming Voicework is a method which aims to address gender-based vocal needs on a holistic level through the use of music and the voice. The method of music therapy has been generated from Maevon Gumble, Braedyn Inmon, and Kaylynn Schachner as trans and nonbinary music therapists who've brought together personal experiences and literature from the fields of speech-language pathology, vocal pedagogy, and music therapy.
music therapy (mt) sessions
Within a music therapy session, clients can work to address: grief / bereavement, memory care support, symptom management, and re-learning speech patterns. These are targeted through the four main modalities of music therapy, including songwriting, improvisation, recreation of music, and receptive listening.
